I got 6 of these just recently from a German indi shop that had recently closed. This is for one of them. These work with the Automatic climate control systems often found in the old E32's and E34's and functions as the blower motor resistor. If this unit is bad in your car, likely you will have an NON operational fan - or one that does not work correctly - loss of a fan speed is common, where the fan may only function on either low or high, possibly not at all.
